In her 2014 interview with the national Collegiate Entrepreneurs’ Organization, Sheryl Hunter identified these three characteristics of successful entrepreneurs:
- Offer a service or a product people want or need. “You can’t force someone to buy a service or product that they don’t want or need, regardless of how well you execute your plan or how much you spend on marketing.”
- Clearly articulate who you are and what you do. “If you don’t have an effective pitch that people can understand quickly and easily, it’s going to be hard to do anything.”
- Desire and capacity to keep learning and listening. “Successful entrepreneurs are curious. They are hunters of information and understanding so they keep evolving.”
